The principal tribe of Norse gods, dwelling in Asgard. Gods of war, sovereignty, law, and cosmic order. Led by Odin the Allfather, they are the most prominent deities in Norse worship.
The Aesir Tribe
The Aesir represent the ordered, structured aspects of Norse cosmology - law, warfare, sovereignty, and civilization. They dwell in Asgard, the fortified realm at the top of Yggdrasil, protected by walls and connected to Midgard by the rainbow bridge Bifrost.

The Aesir-Vanir War
The Aesir once warred with the Vanir, the other tribe of Norse gods associated with fertility and nature. After a long stalemate, the two tribes made peace and exchanged hostages. The Vanir gods Njord, Freyr, and Freyja came to live in Asgard, bringing their magic and prosperity. This merger created the unified pantheon that rules the Nine Realms.
