About This Project
The World Mythos Explorer is a comprehensive encyclopedia documenting the mythological traditions, spiritual practices, and magical systems of human civilization across 6,000+ years of history.
Purpose
Our goal is to create a unified reference that reveals both the unique characteristics of each tradition and the universal patterns that connect them. By exploring mythology through multiple lensesβarchetypal patterns, cross-cultural comparisons, and primary source textsβwe enable deeper understanding of humanity's spiritual heritage.

All content is based on:
- Primary Sacred Texts: Bible, Torah, Quran, Vedas, Bhagavad Gita, Buddhist Sutras, Egyptian funerary texts, Cuneiform tablets, etc.
- Academic Research: Peer-reviewed scholarly sources on mythology, religion, and comparative religion
- Digital Humanities Projects: ORACC (cuneiform), AED-TEI (Egyptian), Sefaria (Jewish texts), DharmicData (Hindu texts), etc.
