Freyja
Goddess of Love, Beauty, Fertility, and Magic
The most renowned of the Vanir gods. Goddess of love, beauty, fertility, gold, death, and seidr magic. She receives half the warriors slain in battle, the other half going to Odin's Valhalla. Taught seidr magic to the Aesir.
Mythology
Freyja came to Asgard as a hostage after the Aesir-Vanir War and was honored as a full member of the pantheon. She possesses the necklace Brisingamen, which she obtained from four dwarves. She rides a chariot pulled by cats and owns a boar named Hildisvini. Her hall Folkvangr receives half of the battle-slain. She is master of seidr magic, which she taught to Odin, and is associated with both love and war, beauty and death.
