Charon
The ferryman of Hades who carries souls across the River Styx to the underworld. He requires payment of a coin (obol) placed in the mouth of the deceased.
The Three Judges
Three kings who became judges of the dead in the underworld, determining the fate of souls:
- Minos - King of Crete, judge of the final vote
- Rhadamanthys - Judge of Asian souls
- Aeacus - Judge of European souls
