Nut (Nuit)

Goddess of the Sky and Heavens

Nut is the sky goddess whose body arches over the earth, swallowing the sun at dusk and giving birth to it at dawn. Mother of Osiris, Isis, Set, and Nephthys, born on the five epagomenal days won by Thoth. Her star-spangled body represents the night sky, and souls ascend to join her after death.
